FMPI Programs & Services was established in the Bicol Region to primarily address the growing number of illiterate and malnourished children of its impoverished communities.

The first feeding program was established in 1987.  Alongside, there were also milk distribution, deworming, immunization and mini-lectures on nutrition and other health concerns.

The first Christian school was established1988.  FMPI realized too the need to feed the mind.  Free education in the form of free tuition fee, free reading materials and free uniforms were provided for.

This Christian school also served as a vehicle to come up with another program, the CHILDREN’S HOPE, which aims to open a sponsorship program for the support of the children’s educational needs.  Indeed, this program gained a wide following in the United States and up to this writing, the children’s sponsors continue to send financial and material support to the children-beneficiaries.

Because of the success of the Children’s Hope Program in the pilot projects in the Bicol Region, the first Children’s Hope Program was launched in Bula, Camarines Sur in 1991.  A women’s cooperative was also established (WICD - Women in Community Development) and other income-generating projects was established initially in six (6) towns but it has whittled down to three.

It was also this year that the FMPI Day-Care Program was created.  To date there are
five (5) existing Day-Care Centers manned by by three (3) Licensed DSWD Teachers,
Two (2) Registered Teachers and Two (2) FMPI Teachers.  These are located in the communities of Libmanan, San Miguel, San Ramon, Fabrica and Bagumbayan.
